Secrets of the Great Briefwriters
In this interactive workshop for litigators, we discuss drafting techniques
and strategies drawn from the nation’s great briefwriters, with a special focus
on the briefs of Chief Justice John Roberts.
Attorneys learn new ways to narrow their focus, craft persuasive facts, and
fine-tune their structure. We discuss techniques for using a more natural voice
to convey complex information.
We then apply those strategies to briefs from well-known cases.
